Christina & Scott

When I met these two for the interview, engagement session, and now the wedding; I knew that their strength was in two of them together. Their dreams, happiness, and laughter are infectious when you are around. I was so honored when I was invited to shoot their wedding.

We had an amazing day at the Osthoff Resort. Festivities began the day before, culminating in some 1am kickball. I met them Sunday morning and captured their first meeting all dressed.

Christina was stunning in her beautiful gown from Premiere Couture, my favorite bridal boutique.

The day was filled with long hugs, tears of joy, and everyone coming together as one big family.

Sound by Design rocked the party with great music until 1am.

I feel so blessed to have such loving clients that make my passion grow.

I hope they enjoy their honeymoon in Italy and get some much needed rest after such a wonderful wedding.

Kim & Justin

Kim and Justin's wedding was a joy and an honor to be a part of. It's always a treat when the love of two very special people bring together two great families.

Not many people get to be married at the same place they met, but Kim and Justin are pretty lucky people. Judging from their ever-present, cheek bursting smiles, I'm certain they would agree.

There is so much love in each of their families and the entire community that came out to support them, it's not surprising Kim and Justin are who they are. And their love for our work allowed Mark and I to really explore working together on a perfect day at camp in May.

I'm really proud of the story we were able to tell. I think it captured the spirit of a great couple on a great day continuing a life that has been growing together steadily. Good luck to them, not that they need it.

-Eron

Christine & Pete

Christine and Pete,
What a fun evening. As we rushed to take pictures before the rain Pete and Christine finished their drinks and I like to think they had a good time. I know Mark and I had a fun time taking their picture.

I think we are going to have a great time in Appleton shooting their wedding, something tells me this is going to be a fun lively group of people.

See you guys in August.

Katie & Graham

We had a great time strolling all over downtown Milwaukee with Katie and Graham. Katie soon learned that heels are quite a challenge for that much walking, but Graham, ever the gentleman, carried her back when she couldn't take it anymore.

It was a nice change of pace for Mark and I to work together, bringing out differences in each other's style that came together to tell a story. I'm excited to explore that further at their wedding, which will surely be a blast.

Eli @ the park

On a beautiful afternoon, we decided to get to the park with Eli before all the light was gone. For once, I had my camera with me and took the opportunity to document his goofiness as well as his comeliness.

Then, as luck would have it, he decided to try swinging for the first time ever at almost 2 and a half years old. And he loved it. He said, "Wheee!!"

-Eron

(These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, just haven't had time to get them into the BLOG. Ironic that it is 84 today and they are wearing hats and jackets in the photos. Smiles, Neil)

Melissa & Todd

Melissa and Todd...

Melissa was a very take-charge bride but as soon as she put her beautiful dress and veil on, she let her self get into the moment. The ceremony at the Villa Terrace was simply engaging. Sweet and short, but full of lovely words. We went to the gardens below, which was a perfectly warm and sunny day for a wedding.

I had the fine joy of riding on the “Slimmossen” with the bridal party to go have a cocktail or two at the Good Life. Then we rode off to the reception. The best mans speech was a cute story of how Todd and Melissa meet after kick ball at the Monkey Bar in Walkers Point...and the Best Man wanted the date but Todd was too smitten and he got the girl. After dinner and children filled the dance floor and the temperature cooled down... This was a great party at The Lake Front Brewery.

We had a wonderful time photographing this fun group of friends. I gotta say people who play kick ball know how to have a good time...Thank you so much for having us as a part of your day and have a wonderful life together.

Take Care,
Calfa and Mark

Ashley & Jason

Ashley and Jason

I met them at the beautiful Grant Park in Milwaukee. We had a nice little casual walk around the bridges and had time to laugh. It is often overlooked park, but I recommend taking a walk there and down to the beach for a date night.

These two are a fun loving couple that are very playful and just delightful to hang out with. I am very much so looking forward to the wedding next weekend in Lake Geneva.

See you there...

Ellen & Paul

Ellen and Paul,

I'm looking forward to their wedding, as it should be a really fun relaxed time at the Lake Front Brewery in mid October, what a great time of year.
We had a very nice time taking these photos at The Intercontinental Hotel Bar. One of the most fun and rewarding things about what I do, is that the time I am taking photographs of a couple are also those little moments that take them away from their busy day to day actives and bringing them back into each others arms to have a nice little (flirty) moment of quality time with each other. It’s pretty cool to be a part of that...

Grandpa

As those of you have been faithfully reading this blog know, there has been a lot of loss this year. Each of us has lost an individual that has meant very much to us in the past year.

In every situation we encounter, we try to find the positive in the negative. When we heard that one of our bride's grandfather's was not doing well, we decided to do what we could while we still could. These are the results. I want to thank Miguel and Carmen for opening their home to me and Juan for sitting for me. I hope his family will treasure these images.

We're grateful to have an opportunity to channel those emotions into something very special for a member of the Front Room Family.

"Thank You Eron that is a very generous gesture! A portrait of grandpa would be wonderful!"

Jessica & Matthew - Update

We just received this today and had to share it:

"Hello! I had an opportunity this morning to take a look at the blog for my sister, Jessy's, wedding....I have to say that the small sampling of the pictures provided were just BEAUTIFUL! My only question to you is - where were you 10 1/2 years ago when Scott & I got married??!! As Jessy's matron of honor, with 3 children in the wedding, I have to say that you were awesome to work with -- and you were so patient with all of us - especially the kids (my little Jordyn! (aka Jo Jo))! I wish I had a small percentage of your talent to take pictures of children and family! Thank you for documenting this special day! You did a fantastic job! You may be hearing from me in the future!

Tasha"

Thank you Tasha, Calfa is pretty amazing at what she does; that is just one of the reasons we love her.

Smiles,
Neil

Jessica & Matthew

Jessica and Matt,
What a wonderful day... Aside form it being so chilly and windy; the sun was shinning and the sky was blue.
Matt was a little nervous but he relaxed in a room at the Phister with his groomsmen. They helped him stay calm, with a nice personalized bottle of Scotch.
Jessica looked stunning in her lace beaded dress. She is a trooper as we went down to Big Bay park on the coldest day in May...

After photos in the park and few beers on the trolly we went to the Pfister for the reception. No center piece of flowers just yummy personal cakes that were filled with cheese cake and goodness...

Everything was beautiful at their wedding and I wish those two a happy honeymoon.

Mothers Day for all

Brianna & Ryan

We just received these words from the mother of the Bride from one of Eron's wedding, and wanted to share them with you:

"You captured the essence of Bri & Ryan’s relationship so well in your photographs of their wedding as well as their “practically the wedding but just barely the engagement pictures”. I didn’t know what Brianna was forwarding to me so when I clicked on the link I wasn’t expecting the tears to come to my eyes once again.

They are a beautiful couple and the camera always seems to love them (I’m the mom so I can say that, right?) but your photography made everyone look good! I ordered the shot of my parents with me poking my head in between them, and had it framed and gave it to them. My mom absolutely hates to see pictures of herself, but she really loves that picture. So do I.

Thanks again for the beautiful job that you did with the photos from their reception. I only wish we could have had you there with us in Mexico for the wedding. I will recommend Front Room Photography to anyone else planning a wedding. I hope sometime in the near future to have you take a family portrait for us, and I especially look forward to having you take some grandchildren pictures in the hopefully not too distant future!"

Thank you mom for those beautiful words. You have made all of our weekends.

Please feel free to take a look at the album; we would love to hear your thoughts.

Rebecca

I had the great pleasure and honor to take pictures of my goddaughter Rebecca. She is, obviously, very charismatic and striking, with eyes as big as saucers.

I had a blast spending an hour to playing with her, snapping the occasional picture.

And I'm already getting heat for not doing the same with my son, Eli. So, that will definitely be happening soon. It's long overdue.

Kim & Justin

The hazy light on the way into the park immediately caught our eye. The plan was to shoot more on the lake, but, as always, we follow the light.

Justin and Kim were a lot of fun. It's nice to be able to shoot people that are so comfortable with each other that the cameras don't matter.

Mark and I had a great time and are really looking forward to their wedding at the end of the month.

Kay & Chris

Kay and Chris are smiles. They embody laughter and create a contagious feeling of happiness all around. Most couples are a little nervous for their engagement session, while they were just so happy to be together, not much else matters. The simplicity of just having one another next to them, made them smile and consequently me too.

As they do a lot of traveling, their main mode of communication is their cell phone. So the photo is silly, but so them.

Kori & Jack

It was great to be a part of Kori and Jack's wedding. I've never seen so many fancy hats!

They obviously have the support of many friends and family who all came together on a beautiful day in April.

From an emotional, heartfelt ceremony to some serious spinnin' from Eric B. of WMSE's Saturday Afternoon Boogie Bang, it was a special day.

Sarah & Brian

Sarah and Brian,
I had so much fun with these two. From Sarah's silly stories before the ceremony to help her stop crying, to the laughs and the end of the night on the dance floor; this was a fun fun big group of people.
Brian's Father performed the ceremony and he had the whole family laughing as he told the cute story of how these two meet: a dog walk and the band Cowboy Junkies, need I say more?
After a week of bad weather, Saturday’s sky opened to reveal a beautiful sun and puffy clouds. Mequon Country Club was the perfect place for a lovely reception. Finishing off the night in true Sarah and Brian style with a fire pit on the terrace. I wish them a wonderful happy life and to not be mistakenly called "Franky-o-sos" anymore.
Thanks for having me as a part of your day, happy honeymoon.
